Nikos Maziotis: Zu den Wahlen und SYRIZA

Die Wahlen vom 25 Januar gehören zu den grössten „Errungenschaften“ zivilisierter Demokratie. Sie waren auch der Beweis, in was für eine Missgunst dieses verfaulte politische System geraten ist. 1/3 aller Wählberechtigten kehrte diesem „Fest“ den Rücken zu ging nicht zur Wahl. Von den ca. 9.800.000 Wahlberechtigten, haben lediglich 63.5% daran teilgenommen. Das heisst, die Zahl gültiger Stimmen belief sich auf ca. 6.180.000. Hingegen gingen 3.620.000, das sind 36.5%, gar nicht Wählen. Von allen Wahlstimmen erreichte SYRIZA 36%, das sind ca. 2.200.000 Stimmen. Was heisst, dass die SYRIZA Regierung lediglich von ¼ der Wahlberechtigten gewählt wurde.

Es war ein Triumph der Wahlfavoriten, und durch demokratischen Zentralismus gekennzeichnet. Es ist nicht die Mehrheit die durch ihre Stellvertreter „herrscht“, wie es sein sollte. Es ist die Minderheit. Es hat sich wieder mal gezeigt, dass das politische System gestützt vom bürgerlichen Parlamentarismus, bei Millionen von Bürgern in Verruf geraten ist. Es ist der Beweis dafür, dass durch dieses Misstrauen welches mit der ökonomischen Krise wuchs, jede Regierung der letzten Jahre eine Minderheitsregierung ist und man ihr nicht mehr trauen kann. In Wirklichkeit müsste man sagen, liegt die Macht in den Händen derer, die nicht mehr an die Wahlillusion der linken und rechten Schwindler glauben.

Million von Bürgern glauben nicht mehr an politische Parteien und erwarten auch nichts mehr von ihnen. Aber die reine Wut führt zu nichts, solange sie nicht an politische Aktion gebunden wird. Das Ziel sollte der Machtsturz der überstaatlichen ökonomischen Elite und deren Stütze, der bürgerliche Parlamentarismus, sein. Der einzige Ausweg aus diesem Leiden, ist wenn die Wut und Groll von Millionen von Bürgern, sich in politische Aktion und Dynamik verwandelt. Das heisst, der Hang der Klasse und der Gesellschaft zu einer revolutionären Perspektive, der bewaffnete Aufstand gegen Staat und Kapital. Die Perspektive einer direkten Demokratie, statt die sozialen und politischen Anliegen in die Hände Berufspolitiker zu geben. Diesem System müssen wir mit selbstverwalteten Strukturen gegen halten. Wie zu erwarten war, ist das Ergebnis dieser Wahlen eine Links-Rechts Koalitionsregierung.

Man kann die ANEL auch nicht anders als Rechts bezeichnen. Die Partei der „Unabhängigen Griechen“, mit denen der rechte Flügel der SYRIZA die Koalition formiert hat, stammt aus dem Umfeld der traditionellen nationalistischen Rechten. Ihr Programm stützt sich auf orthodoxen und nationalistischen Dogmatismus: „Nation – Religion – Familie“. Ihre politische Linie befürwortet den autoritären Staat, Dogmen in deren Mittelpunkt Ordnung und Disziplin stehen, wachsende Intoleranz, Rhetorik aus dem Umfeld von Verschwörungstheorien, Panikmache und die harte Bekämpfung aller Gefahren für das Land. Zu diesen Gefahren gehören MigrantInnen, AnarchistInnen und Militante des bewaffneten Kampfes.

Es fehlen nur noch die Hakenkreuze. Der Machthunger von SYRIZA und ANEL hat diese eigenartige Ehe zwischen Links und der extremen Rechten ermöglicht. Die abscheuliche Ehe ist auf einen schleierhaften „Anti-Memorandum-Block“ aufgebaut. So etwas hat man noch nie gesehen, weder in Griechenland, noch weltweit. Auch die Nazipartei „goldene Morgenröte“ ist eine Anti-Memorandum Partei. Sie ist aber, im Gegensatz zur SYRIZA, gegen die EU. Die Mehrheit Ihrer Wählerschaft stammt aus dem Umfeld der nationalistischen und traditionalistischen Rechte. Diese ist Enttäuscht von der Partei „Neue Demokratie“ (eine Rechte Strömung der vorherigen Regierung). Bis vor kurzem war die Partei die stärkste Vertretung der griechischen Rechte. Ein Teil davon sah die Kollaborateure und Verräter der deutschen Besetzung, die „Chites“ (Mitglieder der Militärgruppe „X“ welche die Nazis während der Besatzung unterstützte) sowie die Mitglieder des „Sicherheits-Bataillon“ (Paramilitärische Gruppen die mit den Deutsch-Italienischen Truppen kollaboriert haben) stets als „griechische Patrioten“, die das Land vor dem Kommunismus gerettet haben indem sie sich mit den Deutschen vereinten.

Viele ANEL Wähler teilen diese Meinung. Es ist ein Paradox, dass viele, auch AnarchistInnen, die SYRIZA als Bollwerk gegen die extreme Rechte gewählt haben, und genau diese Partei nun mit einem Teil der extremen Rechten kooperiert um zu regieren. Tatsache ist auch, dass viele die SYRIZA aus Verzweiflung gewählt haben, und sich für das kleinere Übel entschieden haben. Das gleiche gilt auch für die AnarchistInnen, die SYRIZA, gegen ihre Prinzipien, gewählt haben. Die Partei versprach die Hochsicherheitsgefängnisse Typ C für alle politischen Gefangenen und Militanten des bewaffneten Kampfes abzuschaffen. Sie glaubten an eine Abschwächung der Repression in Bezug auf die Mobilisierungen und Demonstrationen. Selbst wenn die SYRIZA-ANEL Regierung mittels eines taktischen Zuges die Typ C Gefängnisse abschaffen würde, wäre es keine Entschuldigung für den Verrat an die anarchistisch-revolutionären Werte.

Siege erreicht man durch Kämpfe, wie uns die Geschichte revolutionärer Bewegungen bewiesen hat. Nicht durch Zugeständnisse von oben, die dazu noch, aus taktischen Gründen gewährt wurden. Das Ziel dieser Zugeständnisse ist die Vereinahmung der anarchistischen/antiautoritären Bewegung. Diese Regierung weiss, wie man das Zuckerbrot und wenn nötig auch die Peitsche benutzen kann. Die Stimmen der Anarchisten für die SYRIZA wurden gekauft. Es ist ein lächerliches Phänomen Anarchisten zuzuschauen, wie sie zusammen mit den Jugendsektionen der Regierungspartei, die sich mit der extremen Rechten zusammengeschlossen hat, zum Jahrestag des Imia-Vorfalls, gegen die „goldene Morgenröte“ demonstrieren.

Es waren die sozialen Bewegungen, welche den antifaschistischen Kampf, den bewaffneten antifaschistischen Kampf, wie die spanischen Anarchisten 1936, vorangetrieben haben. Nicht gewählte Regierungen. Der Staat und die Koalition zwischen SYRIZA und der rechtsextremen ANEL ist „antifaschistisch“!! Genauso wie die Samaras Regierung angeblich „antifaschistisch“ gewesen ist, weil sie Mitglieder der „goldenen Morgenröte“ einsperren liess!! In Wahrheit haben alle die sich selbst oppositionell oder anarchistisch bezeichnen und gewählt haben, einen schlechten taktischen Zug gemacht. Sie haben politische Schwäche gezeigt. Sie haben gezeigt, keinen Willen zu haben eine revolutionäre antikapitalistische Bewegung aufbauen zu wollen. Eine Bewegung die das Regime stürzen kann, welches diese Krise überhaupt verursacht hat.

Alle die sich selbst oppositionell oder anarchistisch bezeichnen und gewählt haben, haben sich vereinnahmen lassen. Haben sich entschieden sich einer Regierung anzupassen, die das linke Standbein des Kapitalismus ist. Sie haben die historische Parole vergessen:“ Die Bossen sind immer die gleichen, egal ob rechts oder links!“. Die Machtergreifung der SYRIZA sollte nicht die Positionen der AnarchistInnen ändern, die konsequent den revolutionären Kampf weiterführen. Den Kampf für den Sturz von Staat und Kapital. In diesem Kampf stellt sich uns die SYRIZA, wie jede Regierung, als Hindernis, als Feind entgegen.

Wie ich schon in meinem Text:“ Die Lösung findet man nicht mit dem Wahlzettel in der Hand, sondern mit dem bewaffneten Volk“ festgestellt habe, wird die Koalition SYRIZA-ANEL kein langes Leben haben. Sie wird genauso enden wie die Regierungen von Samaras oder Papandreou. Sie wird auseinanderfallen, unter dem Gewicht ihrer Widersprüche und der nicht eingehaltenen Wahlversprechen. Sie wird sich weder der politischen Verantwortung, ihrer erzwungenen Entscheidungen, entziehen können, noch den Kompromissen die sie eingehen muss, mit der überstaatlichen ökonomischen Elite. Die grosse Frage für die Nach-SYRIZA-Zeit ist welche politischen Reserven das System hat um die Krise in Griechenland zu verwalten. Die pluralistische Tendenz der Regierungszusammensetzung, sowie die Allianz mit der ANEL, sind Beweise für die Instabilität der jetzigen Regierung welche die Krise weiter vorantreibt und dessen Sturz herbeiführen wird.

Tatsache ist, dass diese Regierung wegen der Erwartungen der Wähler und ihrem „Linksprofil“ als Partei viele enttäuschen wird. Die Aussagen von Tsipras, man würde sich nicht mit Kreditinstituten oder Institutionen der überstaatlichen Wirtschaftselite anlegen, lassen künftige Kompromisse erahnen. Es gibt keinen Mittelweg zwischen Konflikt und Unterwerfung. Da die neue Regierung keinen Konflikt provozieren will, wird sie sich unterwerfen.

Es hat sich bewahrheitet, was wir von „Revolutionärer Kampf“, schon immer behauptet haben. Weder SYRIZA noch eine andere Regierung möchte in den Krieg ziehen gegen die Kreditinstitute und Institutionen der überstaatlichen Wirtschaftselite. Ihr einziges Interesse ist die Macht und sich ein Stück von der Torte zu sichern. Die zu Beginn des Wahlkampfes versprochene Abschaffung aller Bedingungen des Memorandum ist nun Geschichte. Vorhersehbar ersetzt durch Neuverhandlungen des Memorandum und der Schulden.

Sie widersetzen sich nicht dem Memorandum und den Schulden, die Ketten des griechischen Volkes. Bevor der Hahn krähen konnte erreignte sich der erste Verrat. Die Wahlversprechen, der Grund ihres Wahlsieges, wurden gebrochen. Sie sagen sie würde die Privatisierungen stoppen. Gemeint ist die Teilprivatisierung des Hafens in Piräus (OLP), der Stromgesellschaft (DEI) oder des Naturgas (DEPA). Sie sagen sie würden nach wie vor die Konventionen berücksichtigen, um die Investitionen zu begünstigen, um die Bevölkerung auszubeuten, die Arbeiter und die natürlichen Ressourcen für das Kapital. Der Minister für den Wiederaufbau von Produktion, Umwelt und Energie Lafazanis, Mitglied der linken Plattform und Verfechter der Drachme (griechische Währung vor dem Euro), befürwortet die Privatisierung der DEPA, und sagt, dass alle Memoranden Schrittweise abgeschafft würden. Der neue Wirtschaftsminister Varoufakis befürwortet die Privatisierung im allgemeinen, und im speziellen die des OLP. Der Premier Tsipras versicherte auf Bloomberg, Griechenland würde seine Verpflichtungen gegenüber der Europäischen Zentralbank (BZE) und dem Internationalen Währungsfond (IWF) nicht vernachlässigen. Varoufakis versicherte seinem französischen Pendant in Paris er befürworte einen neuen Entwurf oder Neuverhandlungen mit den Finanzpartnern. Das heisst einem neuen Vertrag zuzustimmen, egal ob dieses nun Memorandum heisse oder nicht, mit neuen Massnahmen, Kürzungen und strukturelle Veränderungen. Dies wurde auch am Londoner Dinnerbankett der deutschen Band und Merrill Lynch wiederholt. Ich möchte daran erinnern, dass die Samaras Regierung kurz davor Stand neue Massnahmen anzunehmen. Dies nach der neusten Einschätzung der Troika (EZB, EU, IWF). Von denen wurde behauptet es handle sich nicht um ein neues Memorandum.

Der Verzicht die Wahlversprechen einzuhalten wird rastlos vorangetrieben, besonders nachdem die EZB beschlossen hat keine griechische Obligationen mehr anzunehmen. Diese Entscheidung wird erst am 28 Februar, also am Ende des aktuellem Memorandum, in Kraft treten. Die geschieht um Druck gegen die griechische Regierung aufzubauen. Man will sie durch Angst unterwerfen. Angst nicht mehr flüssig zu sein, vor der Mangelwirtschaft und des Bankrotts, denn die Reserven werden immer knapper. Der Regress, die eindeutigen Widersprüche und Leugnung von Behauptungen und Versprechen werden grösser. Varoufakis behauptete bei Dijsselbloem das Memorandum zu zerreissen. Dem deutschen Finanzminister Schäuble versprach er wiederum 67% der Verpflichtungen einzuhalten.

Der neue Wirtschaftsvizeminister, Valavanis, verlangte anfangs den Rücktritt vom TAIPED (Privatisierungsbehörde) und bot eine Weiterentwicklungsperspektive an. Eine Woche später nahm es sein Versprechen wieder zurück angesichts der aktuellen Entwicklungen. Trotzdem versprechen sie weiterhin das Ende des Memorandum. Sie sind die gemeinsten Hoffnungsversprecher einer ganzen Bevölkerung.

Schon damals als wir von „Revolutionärer Kampf“, und kurz nach den Wahlen, das Controlling der Unternehmensführung der griechischen Bank angriffen, zeigte sich wie realitätsfremd und utopisch die sozialdemokratischen Vorschläge der SYRIZA waren. Schliesslich dann der totale Rückschritt zu allen Themen, von der Krisenüberwindung hin bis zum Wandel in eine sozialistisch-liberale Partei. Noch nie gab es eine so schnelle Abwendung von den Wahlversprechen in der Geschichte der griechischen Politik.

Die SYRIZA-ANEL Politik unterscheidet sich nicht von der Politik der Vorgänger. Auch sie wird irgendwann zum politischen Zusammenbruch führen, wie bei ihren Vorgängern. Man muss die Ketten des griechischen Volkes komplett aufbrechen, besonders die der Schulden und des Memorandum.

Man darf nicht über eine Verlängerung verhandeln. So etwas kann nur nach der Revolution stattfinden. Wenn das Volk bewaffnet wurde. Nur können die Schulden, das Memorandum und jede vertragliche Verpflichtung zwischen der griechischen Bevölkerung und den Banken einseitig verweigert und ganz gestrichen werden. Kleines Eigentum, welches sich die Banken angeeignet hatten, wird rückerstattet. Das Bankensystem wird abgeschafft und der Habezins wird vergesellschaftlicht.

Genauso werden auch die Reichtümer von Staat und Kapital, der grossen Unternehmen und der multinationalen Konzerne angeeignet und vergesellschaftlicht.

Diese Aneignung verschafft uns Liquidität, Grundstücke und Immobilien. Der ökonomische Wiederaufbau wird dann von Selbstverwaltungen und Selbstorganisationen finanziert und materiell gefördert. Genau so wird auch der Wideraufbau von Produktion, Industrie, Landwirtschaft und die Selbstorganisierung des sozialen Lebens von überall und allen unterstützt werden. Nur so ein revolutionärer Prozess wird eine Lösung für das Elend der kapitalistischen Krise bringen. Klassenunterschiede werden überwunden, das Volk wird selbst über sich entscheiden in selbstverwaltete und selbstorganisierte Strukturen. Es wird ein föderalistisches System sein, mit Volksversammlungen und ArbeiterInnenräte die einen libertären Kommunismus einleiten werden.

Jetzt ist es die Aufgabe aller KämpferInnen, die Pflicht für die anarchistische/antiautoritäre Szene, von uns allen den Aufbau einer revolutionären Bewegung zu arbeiten. Eine Bewegung die Staat und Kapital stürzen wird, dazu müssen wir den politischen Zusammenbruch der SYRIZA des Systems im Allgemeinen ausnutzen.

Griechenland: Beendigung des Hungerstreiks, Erklärung von Nikos Maziotis, Mitglied Revolutionärer Kampf

Am 5. April 2015, kündigte der anarchistische Gefangene Nikos Maziotis das Ende seines Hungerstreiks an.

Nach 35 Tagen des Kampfes, beende ich den Hungerstreik, den ich am 2. März zusammen mit anderen GenossInnen begann. Ich habe beschlossen, dies zu tun nicht aufgrund der Tatsache, dass ich die Grenzen meiner Belastbarkeit erreicht habe, sondern weil ich glaube, dass die Entwicklungen im Kontext dieses Kampfes abgeschlossen sind und das diesbezügliche Potenzial erschöpft ist, auch unter Berücksichtigung der Solidaritätsbekundungen die stattgefunden haben. Ich habe beschlossen den Hungerstreik jetzt auszusetzen, nachdem das Justizministerium den Gesetzesentwurfs vorgelegt hat und sehe keinen Sinn darin, noch mindestens 10 Tage bis nach Ostern zu warten, bis es zur Abstimmung kommt. Ich bin aber weiterhin sehr misstrauisch betreffend alle Änderungen, die das Ministerium in Bezug auf das Vermummungs- oder DNA-Gesetz vorlegt; weil die Regierung bereits gezeigt hat, wie unzuverlässig sie bei der Erfüllung ihrer Proklamationen ist.

Ich habe am Hungerstreik mit einem gebrochenen Arm teilgenommen, eine Verletzung die mir während meiner Festnahme zugefügt worden ist. Eine Fraktur, deren Heilung einige Zeit dauern wird, Monate vielleicht oder mehr als ein Jahr. Die Forderungen, die ich zusammen mit anderen inhaftierten GenossInnen unterstütze haben rein politischen Charakter, da sie gegen den “Anti-Terror” und repressiven Kern des Staates gerichtet sind. Ich hatte von Anfang an keine Illusionen, dass alle Forderungen, wie zum Beispiel die Abschaffung des 187A Antiterrorgesetzes und das Gesetz 187 über kriminelle Vereinigungen, “realistisch” erreichbar sind, aber sie mussten aus politischen Gründen vorgebracht werden.

Der Lauf der Ereignisse zeigte, dass die SYRIZA-Regierung sich in einer sehr schwierigen Lage befand, aber gleichzeitig nicht so anfällig für politischen Druck durch den Kampf der politischen Gefangenen und solidarischen Menschen ist, wie manche glauben möchten. Stattdessen ist sie anfälliger für Druck vom rechten Flügel, wo es eine grössere Sensibilität für Fragen des “Anti-Terror” und repressive Politik gibt. Diejenigen, die, während sie in der Opposition waren, angeblich für die Rechte von Gefangenen “kämpften” und sich gegen die “Anti-Terror” Gesetze äusserten, wie die jetzigen Minister für Justiz und öffentliche Ordnung. Die, die sich gegen das Vermummungsverbot stellten, sind jetzt an der Macht und führen die Regierung. Sie wurden mit dem ersten Hungerstreik der politischen Gefangenen konfrontiert, der auf eine Durchsetzung ihrer Bekenntnisse hinweist.

Jetzt an der Macht, haben sie in sehr kurzer Zeit alles widerlegt, was sie vor den Wahlen in Bezug auf das Memorandum und die Schulden sagten und es wird erwartet, dass sie die Antiterrorgesetze intakt lassen. Nachdem sie alles akzeptiert haben – das Memorandum, die Schulden, die Troika, die Auswertung – die sie als sie in der Opposition waren ablehnten, nachdem sie die Abhängigkeit vom Internationalen Währungsfonds und ausserdem die Abhängigkeit von den USA akzeptiert haben – bedeutet dies auch, dass es unmöglich ist, für die Aufhebung der Anti-Terrorismus Gesetze zu sein – wählten sie eine Verzögerungstaktik beim Kampf durch Hungerstreik politischer Gefangener, und legten bereits nach einem Monat einen angekündigten Gesetzentwurf mit Änderungen vor, mit dem Schaden für die Gesundheit und das Leben von inhaftierten GenossInnen riskiert wird, wie im Fall des Genossen [Michalis] Nikolopoulos, der dem Tode nahe kam und vielleicht bleibende Schäden erlitten hat. Sollte dies so sein, so wird dieser Kampf mit einem hohen Preis bezahlt; darüber hinaus wird es eine “Leistung” der linksgerichteten Regierung von SYRIZA sein, so dass sie eine unauslöschliche Spur hinterlassen, weil keine andere griechische Regierung in der Vergangenheit einen Hungerstreikenden bleibende Schäden hat erleiden lassen.

Ich werde nicht von Begriffen wie Sieg oder Niederlage sprechen. Unabhängig vom Ergebnis ist der Kampf der politischen Gefangenen von grosser Bedeutung und grossem Wert. Es ist der erste Hungerstreik der politischen Gefangenen, und wie ich schon sagte, geht dieser Kampf weit über seine direkte Bedeutung. Es ist die einzige kämpferische politische Mobilisierung, mit der die SYRIZA-Regierung bisher konfrontiert wurde. Dieser Kampf hat die Illusionen einer linken Fassade der Macht, einer linken Krücke des Kapitalismus, einer linken Regierung der Krise ausgeräumt. Das ist das grosse politische Erbe, das dieser Kampf hinterlassen hat und in dieser Hinsicht sind wir auf jeden Fall die GewinnerInnen.

Domokos [Typ C] Gefängnis

Lamia, Griechenland: Kostas Gournas (seit 2.3. im Hungerstreik) hospitalisiert

Gestern, 23. März, wurde der anarchistische Gefangene im Hungerstreik Kostas Gournas (verurteiltes Mitglied des Revolutionären Kampf) vom Typ C Hochsicherheitsgefängnis von Domokos in das Provinzspital Lamia verlegt, wo die Bedingungen unbeschreiblich schlimm sind, die Gefangenen werden in Isolationsräume verlegt und die Kommunikation mit ihnen wird schwierig bis hin zu unmöglich.

In einem kurzen Telefongespräch kurz vor seiner Verlegung sagte der Genosse: “Das Justizdepartement schlägt uns vor den Hungerstreik zu beenden und ihnen zu vertrauen… Wie viel ihre ‘Zugeständnisse’ als Teil dieser Regierung wert sind zeigt sich an jedem Tag, wo sie die Memoranden und die darin enthaltenen Regelungen zitieren, die ENFIA Eigentumssteuer stornieren und die Abschreibung grosser Teile der Schulden verlangen… Ich vertraue nur auf den Kampf. Ich bleibe im Hungerstreik.”

The January 25 elections was one more “triumph” of civil democracy. It was further proof of the discrediting of a rotten political system, where more than 1/3 of the electoral body turned its back on the “fiesta” of democracy and did not go to vote. Out of the approximately 9.800.000 voters registered in the electoral records participation was at 63,5%, meaning that the valid votes were about 6.180.000, while the other 3.620.000, which accounts for 36,5%, did not go to vote. Out of those who voted, SYRIZA got 36%, i.e. around 2.200.000 voters, meaning that out of all the registered voters, SYRIZA’s government was based on less than 1/4 of the electoral body.

A triumph therefore of “popular dominance” and democratic centralization! In the end it’s not the majority through representatives that “governs” as is supposed, but the minority. It has been proved yet again that the political system of civil parliamentarianism is disparaged by millions of citizens. It was proved that precisely because of this disparaging of the political system as a result of the economic crisis, all the governments of recent years are minority governments and that self-reliance is now impossible. In reality, one could say that the main power are those abstaining from electoral illusions and staged circuses of professional liars and fraudsters, right or left.

Millions of citizens do not hope for and do not expect anything from any political party. But rage and resentment, when not accompanied by active political action for the subversion of the authority of the supranational economic elite and the civil parliamentarianism that supports it, bring no result. We will only ever get rid of the current suffering if the rage and resentment of millions of citizens transforms itself into dynamic political action. Into a wide social and class tendency that places itself for the prospect of revolution, the violent and armed subversion of capitalism and the state with the prospect of direct democracy, where instead of people outsourcing social matters to professional politicians they practice it themselves through structures of self-management. As expected, the results of the elections on January 25 brought a coalition government of left and right.

Because how else could you define ANEL [*Independent Greek party, the right wing party SYRIZA made a coalition with], a party that comes from the entrails of the traditional nationalist right wing. It has a far-right agenda, with nationalist and orthodox dogma such as “country-religion-family”, a political line characterised by state authoritarianism, law and order dogma, increased intolerance, fear and conspiracy theory rhetoric and an iron fist attitude against those considered dangerous for the country i.e. immigrants, anarchists, armed fighters.

All that is missing are the swastikas. But the SYRIZA people’s thirst for authority as well as that of the ANEL made this weird marriage between left and far-right possible, on the rotten base of a nebulous anti-memorandum block, a marriage never seen before, not only in Greece but also internationally. But the Golden Dawn Nazi party is also considered an anti-memorandum party. Contrary to SYRIZA, it is steadfastly against the European Union. An overwhelming majority of its voters are from the area of the traditional nationalist right wing who were disappointed by New Democracy [outgoing right-wing government], who until recently expressed the majority of this area and part of which always considered the collaborators and traitors of the (Nazi) occupation, the “Chites” [members of group ‘X’, a military group that cooperated with the Nazis during the occupation of Greece] and Security Battalion members [para-military groups that worked closely with the German-Italian forces during the occupation of Greece], to be “Greek patriots” who saved the country from Communism by making an alliance with the Germans.

Many of the voters of ANEL share the same opinion. It is therefore paradoxical that while many, even anarchists, voted for SYRIZA as a bulwark against the far-right, SYRIZA is cooperating with a part of the far-right political spectrum in order to govern. It is a given that many voted for SYRIZA in desperation, believing that they were choosing the lesser of two evils. And the same goes for those anarchists, who by trampling on their own values, voted for SYRIZA because they had promised to abolish the C’ Type (high security) prisons for political prisoners and armed fighters and because they believe in the mitigation of state oppression by the new government concerning mobilizations and demonstrations. But even if the government of SYRIZA-ANEL, in a tactical move, were to abolish the C’ Type prisons, this would not excuse voting and the trampling on revolutionary anarchist values.

Because demands are won with struggles, as the history of the revolutionary movement has shown, not with concessions by each relevant authority, which, for tactical reasons, in this case for reasons of assimilation of the anarchist/anti-authoritarian milieu, knows how to use the carrot and if necessary also the stick. The votes of anarchists for SYRIZA were bought. It is a ridiculous phenomenon to see anarchists demonstrating alongside the youth section of the governing party, which cooperated with far-right members of ANEL on the Imia incident anniversary, against the gathering of Golden Dawn.

Movements have carried out anti-fascist struggle, armed anti-fascist struggle – such as the anarchists in Spain in 1936 – and not the elected governments. Now the coalition state of SYRIZA and far-right ANEL is “anti-fascist”!! Just as Samaras’ government was supposedly “anti-fascist” because it imprisoned members of Golden Dawn!! In reality, all those who consider themselves a fighter or anarchist and voted, have not shown that they made a good tactical manoeuvre, but proved their political weaknesses and the lack of political will to contribute to creating an anti-capitalist revolutionary movement in order for us to subvert the regime which is responsible for the crisis and the ills it has caused.

With their stance they proved that they have been assimilated and follow the coat-tails of the government that is the leftist crutch of capitalism. Obviously they have forgotten the historical chant we used to shout at protests, “the bosses are the same – either on the right, either on the left”. The takeover of government by SYRIZA does not change the stance of those anarchists who consider themselves consistent and are dedicated to the struggle for revolution, the struggle for the subversion of capital and the state and in this struggle SYRIZA, like every government, stands in the way as an obstacle and an enemy.

As I said in the text “The solution is not given by elections but by the armed people”, the duration of the SYRIZA-ANEL coalition will be short and will have the same luck as the previous governments of Samaras and Papandreou. Because it will decompose and collapse under the weight of its contradictions and the breach of their pre-election declarations, not being able to avoid responsibility for the policies it will be obliged to enforce and the compromises with the lenders and the supranational economic elite. A big question for the post-SYRIZA era is what political reserves does the system have for managing the crisis in Greece. Additional proof of the already obvious instability of today’s government that will speed up the crisis and its collapse, is not only the pluralistic tendency of its components, but also its cooperation with the far-right ANEL.

It is a given that this government will disappoint many of those who voted for SYRIZA, precisely because of the great expectations it created and because of its “leftist” profile. Already the declarations of the new government on the night of the elections from the mouth of the new prime-minister Tsipras – that they would not come into conflict with the lenders and the supranational economic elite – presage the coming compromises. Because there is no middle road between conflict and subjugation. And since the new government will not create conflict, it will have to subjugate.

What we said as Revolutionary Struggle has been proved, that neither SYRIZA nor any other party of the regime desires war with the supranational elite and the lenders, and that their only concern is authority, to eat from the pie of authority. Already the matter of abolishing memorandum conventions, as some members of SYRIZA had propagated before the elections, is a thing of the past, now in the time-box of history, and which has been replaced by what was expected, the renegotiating of the memorandums and the debt.

This means that they do not refuse the memorandum, or the debt, i.e. the shackles of the Greek people. Even before “the cock crowed”, we had the first and main treachery and breach of the pre-election declarations for which they were voted. Although they declare that they are suspending completion of some privatizations, such as part of Pireus Harbour (OLP) and the National Electricity Company (DEI) or the Public Natural Gas Company (DEPA), they state that they will respect the conventions that exist so far and that it is for investment, namely for the exploitation of the people, the workers and the natural resources of the country for capital. Lafazanis, the Minister of Productive Reconstruction, Environment and Energy and member of the left platform and defender of the Drachma [Greek currency before the euro], stated that he is for the privatization of DEPA, as well as saying that all memorandum laws will be abolished bit by bit.

As for the new Minister of Economy Varoufakis, he states that he is in favour of privatization giving the example of privatizing OLP. Prime minister Tsipras, on Bloomberg, assures that the country will fulfill its obligations to the European Central Bank (ECB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), while Varoufakis at his meeting in Paris with his French counter-part, states that he is in favour of a new contract or a new deal with the partners-lenders. This means the adoption of a new program, irrelevantly of whether its called a memorandum or not, with obligatory enforcement of new measures, cuts, or corrective structural changes. He said the same at the banquet in the City of London organized by Deutsche Bank and Merrill Lynch. Let me recall that the previous Samaras government was also going to take new measures, after the last evaluation by the Troika [IMF-EU-ECB], with the adoption of a new program that in their words was not be a new memorandum.

The retreat of SYRIZA concerning their pre-election declarations continues unabated under the weight of the lenders and especially after the decision of the ECB not to accept Greek bonds, a decision that although it will be effective as of February 28th when the current program-memorandum ends, will come in effect many days earlier in order to put pressure on the Greek government to submit under fear of liquidity, shortage and bankruptcy as the cash reserves of the country are becoming increasingly more scarce. Thus the regressions, the blatant contradictions and the self-denials of statements and declarations, continue. Although Varoufakis, when meeting Dijsselbloem spoke of tearing up the memorandum, in his meeting with Schauble he stated that he will respect 67% of the memorandum obligations.

As for the new Vice-Minister of Economy, Valavanis, although she initially asked for the resignation of the management of the TAIPED (Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund), with the prospect of evolving it, a week later she set aside her decision under the weight of developments. Otherwise, they continue to fool the people about the end of the memorandum era. They are the most vulgar dealers of hopes of a whole people.

Already the first samples what we wrote as Revolutionary Struggle a few days after the elections, when we attacked the Management Oversight of the Bank of Greece, the infeasibility and utopianism of the socialist-democratic proposals of SYRIZA have been proved by its complete retreat on all matters of management of the crisis and its transformation into a Socialist-Neoliberal party. There has never been a faster rebuttal of pre-election promises in the history of Greek politics than the SYRIZA one.

The policy of the SYRIZA-ANEL government is not different to the policy of its predecessors and sooner or later will lead to its political bankruptcy and collapse, as happened to its predecessors. You cut the chains that hold the Greek people, namely the debt and the rescue memorandum-program, completely.

You do not negotiate their lengthening. This can only be carried out by a revolution with the people armed, and this happens: with the non-recognition and unilateral deletion of the entire debt, the abolition of the memorandum laws and the deletion of all debts of the people towards the banks, the return of small properties repossessed by banks, the abolition of the banking system and the socialization of bank assets.

As well as the re-appropriation and socialization of the wealth of capital and state, big businesses and multinationals.

A re-appropriation that will include liquidity, movable and unmovable property. The economic reconstruction will be funded and supported materially on the basis of self-management and self-organization, just as industrial and productive reconstruction will be supported, the reconstruction of agricultural production and the self-organization of social life everywhere. Only such a revolutionary procedure will provide a solution to the suffering caused by the capitalist crisis. It will eliminate class and social divisions, it will give the management of social matters to the people, through structures of self-organization and self-management, through a confederated system of popular assemblies and labour councils that will enact libertarian communism.

Therefore it is the duty of all fighters, it is the duty of the anarchist/anti-authoritarian milieu, it is the duty of all of us to work for the creation of a revolutionary movement for the subversion of capital and the state and exploit the political bankruptcy of the clowns of SYRIZA and the political system generally.

Greek prisons: Text of anarchist hunger striker Nikos Maziotis about the CCF members’ hunger strike

NO ONE LEFT ALONE IN THE FACE OF STATE REPRESSION

Political prisoners have currently launched a hunger strike in Greek prisons beginning from March 2nd 2015. Some of them, like me, have a common context of demands regarding: the abolition of the ‘antiterrorism’ legislations, the abolition of the hoodie law and the type C prisons, and the release of the convicted 17N member Savvas Xiros on health grounds.

At the same time, the political prisoners of the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire have also begun a hunger strike, demanding the release of their family members who were recently arrested and placed under preventive detention, after it was disclosed that CCF members organised a plan to escape Koridallos prisons.

Regardless of differences in demands, I support the CCF prisoners’ struggle as regards their demand. Despite the political differences between political prisoners and the problems that have arisen among them, despite the different context of the hunger strikes, I believe that people in solidarity, the anarchist-antiauthoritarian space should support all political prisoners. No one should be left alone in the face of repression.

Letter by Kostas Gournas, imprisoned member of Revolutionary Struggle, from inside Domokos Type C Prison (Greece)

The coalition government New Democracy-PASOK [right and left political parties] did not only flirt with the extreme neo-liberalism imposed by the Troika [IMF-ECB-EC], it was the biggest supporter and helped in the shaping of the memorandum policies. It not only flirted with the far-right agenda of the Golden Dawn [fascists political gang], it was itself the political and institutional expression of the deeply far-right state that promotes the transformation of society into a fascist one.

C’ type prisons and the legal framework that defines a regime of exclusion for the prisoners is part of the memorandum policies that have messed up the lives of thousands of proletarians. A living prison inside the prison that aims for the political isolation and de-politicization of the political prisoners and their actions, vengeful treatment of the disobedient and is a means of dissuasion for all prisoners.

During its swan song, the government has transferred social and political prisoners to the new C’ type wing in Domokos. Just a few days before the premature elections that were sped up when the government lost the trust of the Troika, the opening of the special wing in Domokos marks the re-ascertainment of the “law and order” dogma with the establishment of its crown. A few days after the partial regression in the Romanos case, the government raises the stakes by imposing its injured power.

The confrontation with the regime of exclusion in the C’type prisons is not simply a confrontation between the prisoners, the solidarity movement and society against the government that is going or the one that will come after the elections. It is a battle we all ought to spread/fight with the deep state in its core and against its indispensable identification with the neo-conservative “antiterrorist” dogmas of imperialism. It is a battle that concerns all of society which is hurting today by the brutal policies of Capital, a battle against the transformation of society into a fascist one.

FÜR DIE “ROTE HILFE INTERNATIONAL”

Hallo, Genossen

Es geht mir sehr gut und ich wünsche euch das gleiche. Ich schreibe, um euch über die Situation hier zu informieren.

Ich wurde vor kurzem in ein Hochsicherheitsgefängnis (Typ C) in Domokos verlegt. Ich war der erste Gefangene, der hierher verlegt wurde und nach mir haben sie einige andere politische und soziale Gefangene hierher verlegt. Zur Zeit unterscheiden sich die Haftbedingungen hier nicht von denen in anderen Gefängnissen. Der Strafvollzug bleibt der gleiche für alle Arten von Gefängnissen, A, B und C. Es gibt keine besonderen Haftbedingungen hier, aber das Gesetz, in Bezug auf die Gefangenen in einem Typ-C Gefängnis, ist härter als das Gesetz für Gefangene in Typ-A- oder B-Gefängnissen. Insbesondere sieht das Gesetz vor, dass die Gefangenen in Typ-C-Gefängnissen, die lebenslänglich verurteilt wurden, für 20 Jahre inhaftiert werden müssen, das sind 4 Jahre mehr, als diejenigen, die in Typ-A- oder B-Gefängnissen inhaftiert sind. Das gleiche Gesetz bestimmt, dass Häftlinge in Typ-C Gefängnissen nicht das Recht haben, im Gefängnis zu arbeiten, kein Recht auf eine Strafminderung haben und auch keinen Hafturlaub bekommen.

Hinsichtlich der Verletzung meines rechten Armes, gibt es erhebliche Fortschritte. Jeden Monat muss ich in ein Krankenhaus zur ärztlichen Untersuchung gebracht werden.

Nun möchte ich euch über einige Aktionen hier informieren. Es wurden von 4 anarchistischen Gruppen 4 öffentlichen Manifestationen in 4 Städten in Griechenland vorgeschlagen und organisiert, in Thessaloniki, Athen, Heraklion auf Kreta und Patras, mit dem Thema “Bewaffneter Kampf, revolutionäre Bewegung und soziale Revolution”, ich habe per Telefon aus dem Gefängnis in Thessaloniki zu den GenossInnen gesprochen. Das Ziel dieser öffentlichen Manifestationen war es, die Verbindung zwischen bewaffnetem Kampf und revolutionärer Bewegung zu zeigen, dass der bewaffnete Kampf und die Stadtguerilla ein Teil des Kampfes für den Umsturz des Regimes und ein Teil der Revolution sind, und dass für die Revolution die Existenz einer organisierten revolutionären Bewegung mit einem klaren politischen Programm für den Umsturz des kapitalistischen Staates und den revolutionären Wiederaufbau, notwendig ist. Diese öffentlichen Manifestationen waren sehr erfolgreich und mit der Teilnahme von vielen GenossInnen wurden viele Aspekte des Themas diskutiert. Bei der zweiten öffentlichen Kundgebung in Athen am 17. Oktober versuchte der Staat mich am Sprechen zu hindern, als ein parlamentarischer Vertreter verlangte, dass die Manifestation verboten wird und so stellten sie die Telefone im Thessaloniki-Gefängnis, in der Sektion in der ich war, ab und ich konnte nicht mit den GenossInnen kommunizieren. Trotzdem fand die öffentliche Manifestation in Athen wie geplant statt und die Genossin Pola Roupa schickte einen Text zum Thema, der vorgelesen wurde. Die öffentliche Manifestation in Athen wurde am 5. November wiederholt, als ich schliesslich zu den GenossInnen sprechen konnte. Der Rest der öffentlichen Manifestationen am 21. November in Heraklion und am 3. Dezember in Patras verlief ohne weitere Probleme. Die erste war am 9. Oktober in Thessaloniki. Ich sprach über das gleiche Thema auch über eine Radiostation, Radio “Revolt” in Thessaloniki, die die Bewegung unterstützt.

Ich möchte euch auch darüber informieren, dass mein Vorschlag, eine Solidaritätsstruktur namens “Solidaritäts Versammlung” für politische Gefangene, militante Gefangene und verfolgten KämpferInnen in Griechenland, von den GenossInnen angenommen wurde. Die Solidaritätsversammlung hat bereits eine Plattform dazu veröffentlicht. Die Bedingungen dieser Plattform umfasst alle militanten Häftlinge und in Griechenland Verfolgte, die anarchistischen und kommunistischen Häftlinge, einschliesslich der türkischen KommunistInnen der DHKP, die in Griechenland inhaftiert sind und jene GenossInnen, die zu Gesetzlosen erklärt wurden und des bewaffneten Kampfes beschuldigt sind. Es gibt eine Ausnahme für diejenigen, die mit dem Staat zusammengearbeitet haben, Informationen an die Polizei gegeben haben und reuige Aussagen über den bewaffneten Kampf gemacht haben.

Meiner Meinung nach sollte die Solidaritätsversammlung für politische Gefangene und militante Gefangene und Verfolgte in Griechenland, und die Roten Hilfe International, zu Solidarität Fragen miteinander Kontakt aufnehmen.

Ich nehme an, dass ihr über die politische Situation in Griechenland informiert seid, über den Fall der Samaras Regierung, die Wahlen vom 25. Januar 2015 und über die Möglichkeit, dass die Regierung in die Hände der Mitte-Links-Partei der offiziellen Opposition übergeht.

Greece: More transfers of prisoners to the maximum-security prison in Domokos

Anarchist Nikos Maziotis, member of Revolutionary Struggle, has been incarcerated for four days in the 5th wing of the new type C prison in Domokos.

On January 2nd, 2015, two more prisoners convicted as members of armed revolutionary organizations, anarchist Kostas Gournas (Revolutionary Struggle) and Dimitris Koufontinas (17 November), were transferred from the dungeon cells of Koridallos women’s prison to the maximum-security facility of Domokos. On the same morning, anarchist prisoners Yannis Naxakis and Grigoris Sarafoudis, both convicted for armed robbery in Pyrgetos-Larissa as well as for—alleged—participation in an armed revolutionary organization (Conspiracy of Cells of Fire), were also taken from the men’s prison in Koridallos to the type C prison in Domokos. Sarafoudis was moved to Domokos even though, for the present, he is co-accused in Filotas-Florina armed robbery case alongside other comrades, whose trial will continue in the special court of Koridallos prison this January.

Meanwhile, since New Year’s Eve until today, several other prisoners have been transferred to the maximum-security prison in Domokos.

Nikos Maziotis in Isolationshaft verlegt

Am 30.12.2014 wurde Nikos Maziotis in den neuen Hochsicherheitsknast in Domokos (Griechenland) verlegt. Damit ist er der erste politische Gefangene in Griechenland, der in das Typ-C-Haftregime verlegt wird. In Folge einer Neuausrichtung des griechischen Knastwesens (im Wesentlichen eine Anpassung an den europäischen Standard) wurde im Sommer 2014 eine neue Klassifizierung für Gefangene geschaffen, Typ A, B und C. Die Haftbedingungen sind dabei je nach Typ unterschiedlich. Die Gefangene des Typ C haben die härtesten Bedingungen, in dieser Kategorie werde primär politische und kämpfende Gefangene eingeteilt. Rund um die Einführung dieser Knastreform kam es zu verschiedenen Solidaritätskationen. Nun wurde Nikos verlegt, nachdem er erst vor kurzem vorschlug, das offene Treffen von Anarchisten und Anti-Autoritären gegen die Typ C Haftbedingungen zu einem Treffen in Solidarität mit politischen und kämpfenden Gefangenen zu machen.

SOLIDARITY MEANS ATTACK

i) C’ Type prisons – an act of war

C’ Type prisons wish to become the monument of the State’s victory against the urban guerrilla warfare. It is a bet for us, if we’re going to let a thousand tonnes of concrete, bars and locks beat the human will for freedom, a bet which is to be answered through action by the enemies of the regime and the friends of freedom.
For years now, politically, TV personalities of the system and salaried pen-holders of the police, have engaged in a mud fight against the urban guerrilla warfare, aid at depoliticizing it. “Osmosis of criminals and terrorists”, “cooperation between terrorists and organized crime”, “revolutionary pool” are the vanguard of the lie. Propaganda wishes to hide, covering with its mud, the self-evident constant revolt. A constant revolt of the ones who refuse to live as slaves and attack with arms against the leaders, the silence, the conservatism and the resignation of the majority of society.

Wishing to decouple the possible perspective of the violent insurrectionary action and to mutilate its diffusion, power uses lies and slander in order to present the armed urban guerrillas as insane criminals. And all this, at the same time when their bloodthirsty democracy makes thousands of people commit suicide and poisons every moment of our lives through the terrorism of poverty, repression, a police state, loneliness, exploitation, while it tricks the naive ones through the fake freedom of consumption, spectacle, mass entertainment, digital reality and the civilization of the mediocre. The highlight of the political propaganda against the urban guerrilla warfare was set up early in 2014, after the escape of Christodoulos Xiros on prison leave, who instead of coming back to prison voluntarily, chose the path of illegality and complicity with the new urban guerilla warfare. Headlines and reportage with catchy titles like “New Year’s terror-eve with the CCF”, “prisons are safe houses of terrorists” became the flagship of lies. What bothered power most, together with the escape of comrade Christodoulos Xiros, was that despite our arrests, we have never turned into dormant trophies in the hands of our wardens. For the unrepentant urban guerrillas, prison is not a palace of fear, it is a place of captivity that digs in and tempers more the willingness for rebellion and freedom.

ii) Propaganda prefaces the war.

Power’s lies fan fear in order for this to be the gateway from the regime of fake freedom, to the status of emergency. The status of emergency is the disguised “we decide and we order”. Early 2014, the ex-judge Minister Charalambos Athanasiou, issued a 100-day ultimatum, on the kick-off of the maximum security prisons. As the famous phrase “politics are the continuation of the war by other means” applies, vice versa, the political propaganda against the urban guerilla warfare is now followed by military measures. So, there is the announcement of the transformation of Domokos prisons into a C’ Type prison, whose external safekeeping will be taken up by 300 policemen, who will camp out in special buildings – military barracks. Moreover, more than half of the “common” detainees have already been transferred [from Domokos], in order for them to be replaced by “dangerous terrorists” and “members of organized crime”. We won’t say much about the C’ Type prisons, because most of it has already been written.
Political and physical isolation, mail censorship, restriction of visiting, ban of license[family or study leave] . . . A new prison inside the prison, a barred place of oblivion in order for us to forget the struggle and to be forgotten as prisoners. A concrete grave where oblivion wishes to erase the will for freedom. At the same time, a public bogeyman in plain sight, a Greek Guantanamo for anyone that questions through action and armed struggle, the local prefects of the global Western empire.

iii) Tomorrow they’re coming after you . . .

Fear is penetrating and reaches into the bone. The answer to fear is not to close our eyes, but to attack with all our strength. It goes without saying that the C’ Type prisons were created in order to curb the urban guerrilla warfare, the revolutionary organizations (whether they’re anarchist or communist, or nihilistic or social) and their members. It would be inexpedient, however, to think that the strategy of power settles only for its basic goal. Power is naturally expansionary. This is why it widens the iron net of the maximum security widespread captivity to comrades or individuals accused of being members of armed organizations, without ever having claimed responsibility, as well as to “powerful criminals” who bother the police.

In any case, the State’s obsession with the urban guerrilla warfare’s repression is also obvious from the fact that in the draft law on C’ Type prisons there’s a beneficial arrangement that even provides the release from prison for every wannabe squealer (unless he himself is persecuted by the anti-terrorist law) who’s going to give any information on armed revolutionary organizations actions. Moreover, Greek authorities, mimicking their foreign colleagues, introduced secretly through the backdoor the “inducement” of public renunciation of the urban guerrilla warfare in return for an advantageous treatment of the repentant ones, in licensing issues and reducing the sentence. There’s not only the warranty of the draft law that sets the district attorney as responsible for the continuation or not of the “imprisoned terrorist” custody after 4 years (needless to say that for any still unrepentant“terrorist” the custody in the C’ Type isolation regime will probably be indefinitely extended). There is also the court of appeals prosecutor’s official report during the disciplinary prosecution process of penitentiary administration for the escape of Christodoulos Xiros, as this “particular detainee never renounced terrorism. Instead through his writings posted on the websites zougla.gr and Athens Indymedia still speaks of popular uprising and armed struggle. . . “

This works as a small prefiguring to a future which shows that even the texts of an“imprisoned terrorist” will play a key role in the granting or denying of prison leave to all.

However, the expansionary war of power, the way it is incarnated during this period with the C’ Type prisons, in no way can it lead anarchists to a stampede of recoil and defense, behind legal defences and funny panicked generalizations; like “the State prosecutes and imprisons anarchist ideas”. No, the State attacks the ones who put into anarchist ideas into practice, regardless of whether the counter-terrorist unit often arrests comrades or people who have no connection with the urban guerrilla warfare. The ideology of victimization produces victims itself and strengthens the enemy. When people either naively or intentionally see the ghosts of the Orwellian thought police existing today and subside into defeatism, they only manage to bring future repression closer and faster.

Every step back, camouflaged in ridiculous excuses like “they will get us”,“things were different some time ago”, “we now don’t have the leeway” is a ground donated to the advance of the police state.

If the State thinks it disentangles the urban guerrilla warfare, it will then expand its repression to every form of direct action that so far doesn’t have “counter-terrorist”criminal penalties. Because, even the State -in contrast with some “anarchists” – perceives the connection of the diversity of direct action with the urban guerrilla warfare.
Whoever isolates and ghettoizes a means of struggle like the urban guerrilla warfare practically buries and weakens all the other means, as it leaves them exposed to the oncoming repression.

“Tomorrow they’re coming after you” is the result of a fetishism against weapons promoted by some smokeless veterans of nothingness, who supposedly counter-propose “non-armed confrontational anarchy”. Complicated and pompous definitions in order for their cowardice to be covered.

iv) Solidarity means attack

Currently in Greece there are several political prisoners accused of being members of revolutionary action groups in which they’re involved, and some comrades and some people who are prosecuted for the same cases. Our word is always clear. Different perceptions and contrasts among us are numerous and enmity with some people is a fact. As the Imprisoned Members Cell of the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire we think that, despite the different perspectives between us, there’s a common starting point to connect us with the political prisoners who have claimed responsibility for the organizations they belong to and the comrades accused of these cases, without having slandered and lied against revolutionary organizations. The common starting point is the uncompromising struggle against power, always from the side of the unrepentant enemies of the regime.
As has been said “Words divide. . . Acts unite”.

We read the letter-call [i] from the member of Revolutionary Struggle Nikos Maziotis and we decided to support his suggestion.

The Open Assembly of Anarchists/Anti-authoritarians against the special detention conditions was one of the few, maybe the only public collective procedure, which, in spite of the times, stood against the invasion of the maximum security prisons.
We believe that the suggestion for its restart and its evolution, an assembly of solidarity with the political prisoners, upgrades its qualitative characteristics and makes things clear.
Every comrade who’s against the special detention conditions is automatically a solidarian with the political prisoners and whoever is solidarian with the political prisoners who are persecuted for urban guerrilla warfare actions cannot do anything but acknowledge (regardless of his/her participation or not, or his/her disagreements on specific issues) that the urban guerrilla warfare isn’t just another part of the struggle’s diversity, BUT an indispensable part of it . . . Much could be written on the struggle’s diversity, on direct action and on urban guerrilla warfare.

We believe that we are at the beginning of a conversation that will not disappear in a conversation.

To us, it is important that the assembly of solidarity, if put into practice, is to be a breeding ground of conversation, friction and communication which will provokeaction.
The assembly that just reproduces itself is doomed to lapse into a boring chore. When the assembly turns into a coin of public relations, it becomes person-centered and mostly harmless. We have no illusions about what happens inside the milieu nor will we invoke a fake unity which is useless and hypocritical.

For us, an assembly of solidarity can be a new starting point for the new comrades mainly, to get rid of the ideological past icons, the “retired veterans” and the inertia and meet in order to act. For this reason, we add to the suggestion made, the name of the assembly to become “assembly of solidarity and action with the political prisoners”. To be honest, we don’t like calling someone just a “solidarian”. It subconsciously creates divisions that lead to “personalities” and “followers”. It goes without saying that an anarchist is a solidarian, the bet is for him/her to become an “accomplice” . . . (without stopping being critical of course).

So, as much has been written and more has been spoken on solidarity, so we will end our statement and our support to the suggestion made, with an old but all-time classic slogan:

“If the “innocent” ones deserve our solidarity once, then the “guilty” ones deserve it a thousand times…”
